Over the last few decades, the language and the forms of architecture have often been identified strictly with the person who created them, as a sort of factory brand which could be exported throughout the world without any clear connection to the place in which such works were created. But can we consider the language of architecture as an instrument of dialogue open and available to the reality it has to confront? The conversation will tackle the capacity of contemporary architecture to listen and to give shape to man's desires by transforming them into advanced forms of habitat. Moderator Marco de Michelis. Aaron Betsky, Massimiliano Fuksas, Kengo Kuma, Hani Rashid Palavela: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. T - Creativity and profession How can we establish an innovative and socially useful relationship between individual creativity and professional culture? One of the great challenges facing architecture has always been that of giving technical and feasible shape to the designers' ideas and visions. Today, architecture is increasingly more often called upon to produce visions to give back an identity to places undergoing deep transformations or to meet the new needs that an increasingly more complex metropolitan society expresses on a daily basis. This session aims to take a look at the role and the social and political destiny of creativity with relation to an increasingly sophisticated and restrictive professionalism. Moderator Giorgio Tartaro. George Kunihiro, Zhu Pei, Italo Rota, Mark Wigley.
